attack of the mosquitoes!

i haven't had to deal with mosquitoes in a long time. i can't remember the last time. my last memories of mosquitoes have to do with hearing their annoying whine around my head when i'm trying to sleep, but i can't remember when or where that was.

hear the mosquitoes are stealthy. they bite me on the foot when i'm waiting for someone outside a restaurant. they bite my hand and neck without me even knowing i'm there when i'm waiting for the bus. they even attack me in my sleep when i'm unaware! last night it was my arm, my hand, and my index finger. i woke up and my finger itched *under* the fingernail. a very weird feeling. and whenever i'm bit by a mosquito, it looks probably 4 times the size it should because i must be allergic to mosquito bites or something. which is why it itched even under my fingernail. so last night at 2 in the morning, i turned on my light to see why i was itching so terribly. it appeared a mosquito was a culprit. i found him, landed right on a picture of rob and his family (for those of you who know him). i smashed him (the mosquito) then and there (sorry rob). then i went back to sleep, wondering why i didn't hear this mosquito buzzing around my head like i have in the past, wherever and whenever that was. but, what do you know, i woke up at 3 AM because of that very thing! i heard the distinct whining of yet another mosquito around my head. i turned on the light again. i looked, and i thought i wasn't going to be able to find this one. he clearly wasn't flying around the room. but then i saw him, landed right there on my bright green bed spread, and i smashed him right there too. and i was thankful for the bright color of my bedspread!

thus was the attack of the mosquitoes, and i'm sure there will be more to come.
