random stuff

first i will announce that i am going to romania for christmas. yay! for sanity's sake, i have not counted the number of hours i will spend in transit from the time i leave my apartment till the time i will get to romania, and on the way back.

learning chinese is hard.

since recently i keep choosing to spend time at home rather than going anywhere else, i take this to mean that i need a vacation. or i am anticipating tiring hours spent on planes, busses, vans, and in airports.

is it worth it to exit the airport while on a layover in turkey in order to receive a stamp in my passport when i go back in again?

since i have christmas yarn sent to me by the lovely darcy, i should think of a permanent christmas decoration to make with this yarn that can be displayed in my house during christmas seasons for years to come. but i have yet to think of anything.

if you want to conserve water, all you have to do is obtain a water heater that either causes water to be scalding hot for no longer than 2 minutes or freezing cold otherwise.

my phone has been out of minutes for two days, but i'm too lazy to walk to the market to get the phone person to put more minutes on it. i should guess how many text messages i will have when they are able to come through.... i guess 24. most of which will be chinese advertisements or notifications that i cannot read and will immediately delete.

i wish i had more time to just sit and read whaver i feel like. i should bring books to romania, at least to read on the plane. i should also bring my cross stitch which i haven't worked on for at least a month since i've been crocheting instead.

i wish i felt more motivated in general. well, i do feel motivated--to read, to talk to people on skype, to watch tv shows, to spend time with friends, to crochet. even to study chinese. but not the other things that i'm also supposed to be doing and that actually have deadlines. even studying chinese doesn't have a deadline.
