note to self

this is a list of things i should probably not do when i'm in the US this summer.
all of the following are things that i have done or do normally, except the first one, which several of my friends do and i also plan to do someday. =)
  • walk down the street with a phone or music player in my pocket blaring my own personal soundtrack as i go
  • walk, drive, or ride a bike through stoplights if no one is coming
  • walk arm in arm with friends
  • hold hands with a friend while talking to them
  • wear socks and shoes with a skirt
  • push people to get ahead of them in line
  • ride in a car without a seatbelt
  • ring a bell or honk a horn just to let people know my vehicle is near them
  • bring liters of soda from a store into a restaurant and ask for cups
  • stand directly in front of a stall in a public restroom and wait for the person inside to come out
  • ask how much something in a store costs, say it's too expensive, and offer a lower price
  • ride/drive on the wrong side of the street
  • start going through a stop light before it has turned green
  • expect my dinner to cost $5 or less
on second thought, i probably shouldn't do most or all of these things in japan either!!

  1. Things on those list I wish we did in America:

-walk, drive, or ride a bike through stoplights if no one is coming
-walk arm in arm with friends
-hold hands with a friend while talking to them
-wear socks and shoes with a skirt
-ask how much something in a store costs, say it's too expensive, and offer a lower price

And as for "expect my dinner to cost $5 or less;" you should really go to Taco Bell more often.

  2. i hope "we" doesn't include YOU wearing socks and shoes with a skirt. =)

there is no taco bell!!! i will go there for sure in the US. =) but also i am talking about food that is of a higher quality than taco bell for less than $5 (although i'm sure you may argue with me about the quality of taco bell). if i wanted the chinese equivalent of taco bell / fast food, i could get it for less than $2. mwahahaha
