new chair!

when i went to shanghai last week with some friends, we went to ikea while we were there. i'd never been to ikea before, and it was slightly overwhelming at the time because i was so tired and i felt like i was walking in circles. but i bought a chair because i've been wanting a comfortable chair to put in the corner of my room by the window. my wonderful friend helped me carry it in its giant box through the apartment complex and up the stairs to my apartment. it wasn't all that heavy but the box was such an awkard size that there was no way that i could've carried it by myself. it probably would've gotten heavy carrying it all the way from the gate of the complex to my apartment though.

anyway, i took the parts of the chair out of the box:

the pictures on the directions were very clear. directions with no words! perfect. words are confusing anyway. this is what it's going to look like:

now for the cushion... i had to stuff the cushions inside the cover, then use this giant long hook thing to attach the buttons, one on each side of the cushion hooked together by a string.

all finished!
super comfortable too. =) yay!
